Hausbeschreibung: Ferienwohnung für 4 Personen ca. 65 m² in Lissabon, Costa de Lisboa: 1 Schlafzimmer, 1 Badezimmer, TV, Spülmaschine, Meer 20 km, Strand 11 km, Waschmaschine - The apartment has an historical atmosphere, with its beautiful ceiling from the 18th century. Located in a prime location - Lisbon's downtown and historical centre (Baixa/Rossio) -, the apartment has been renewed in 2011, and has in its 65m2: a beautiful open-space with living room (table, sofabed, LCD) + bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with shower, and a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for cooking (hot plate, microwave, fridge with freezer, dishes, etc.) and a Nespresso coffee machine (with free coffee!), laundry machine and dishwasher. Built at end of 18th century, the building is a Listed Property by the Portuguese Institute for Managing the Architectural and Archaeological Heritage (IGESPAR), classified as Property of Public Interest (Decree 95/78, DR 210, of 12-09-1978).

The apartment is located in a pedestrian zone within the city heart: Lisbon's tourist downtown called Baixa. From there you can visit, at walking distance, the Rossio, the castle, the Augusta street, and the historical zones of Chiado, Bairro Alto, Alfama, and Castelo. Close to the apartment, at 1 minutes walking, you'll have two metro stations (Baixa-Chiado and Rossio) and many tram and bus stations.

The apartment is in a very calm and quiet neighborhood. At the same time, at 10 minutes walking distance (800m), you'll be on Bairro Alto, a place that transforms from a historical neighborhood to a fantastic open air area crowed with bars, discos and urban youth!

Due to its centrality, you'll be able to visit just by walking many of the tourist icons such as: Augusta Street at 40m /0 min, Rossio square at 100m/1 min, Tram 28 at 200m/2 min, Santa Justa Lift at 100m/1 min, Terreiro do Paço at 400m/4 min, Lisbon Cathedral at 600m/7 min, Av. Liberdade/Liberty Av., at 600m/7 min, Castle of São Jorge at 700m/11 min, having also within 500m all facilities: stores, supermarkets, cinema, theatre, museums, etc.

The street address is Rua dos Correeiros, between the major tourist streets of Lisbon's downtown: Rua Augusta, Rossio and Terreiro do Paço.

From the apartment, you'll have a view to three great Portuguese historical monuments: the Santa Justa elevator, built by Gustave Eiffel's disciples, the ruins of the Carmo Church, left by the devastating earthquake in 1755, and the beautiful Lisbon's Castle (Saint George).

CAUTION! The apartment is at the 5th floor and has NO elevator and the ceiling is at 2m of height!
